Young V&A Overview: This is what we thought – and what you need to know.
Young V & A is a shiny new version in Bethanel Green, London, earlier in the V&A Museum of Childhods.
It’s recently reopened after a multi -year -old, £ 13m correction.

We were all a great fans of the old version of the old version, so we wanted to see if the Young V & A could live according to my children’s museum -of -child memories.
Here is our young V&A review and that’s everything you need to know before you go.
What is young V & A?

Young V & A V & A (Victoria and Albert) is a reopened version of the Museum of Childhid, now designed for children and partially designed.
In an old building like the childhood museum, there are three permanent galleries of Young V&A, imagine, play and design.
It exhibits more than 2,000 items from a collection of V&A, with many old and new childhood favors that will be recognized both adults and children.
Including a large selection of Barbie …

Where did the Sindhi go? Poor Cindy.
There is also a large mixture of small, interactive exhibitions and storytelling stage.
There is also a dedicated space for exhibition in the new -shaped museum, and will be the first paid exhibition Japan: Manga’s mythsOpens in October 2023.
Is young V & A free admission?
Yes, Young V&A is free to enter,
How busy is young V & A?
We went to the end of school holidays and it was, as you expected, busy!
It is probably wise idea to get there, we went straight up at 10 am, but when we came out after lunch, there was a 30 -minute row outside.
Be careful, when it is busy, the echo of the building is really noisy.
How much time does it take to get the young V&A?
It’s small! If you have children who like to zip the round museum, you may probably do the whole work of Young V & A.
A large part of the play gallery is for young children, which means it is even faster with Tweens and young people.
I will not dedicate it all day (half should be more).
What is for young children?
It’s great for children and young children.
The ground floorplay section has two major play areas, including sensory environment for pre -walkers, and a section with large soft playbing blocks.

Censorship Area is a safe and clean place to carry your creeping baby.
And hope you will sit and drink tea and rest.

What is for tweens and young people?
Play Gallery’s game design with new and old video and board games is ‘The Arcade’ entertainment.
There is also an interactive mine craft installation.

The design section focuses on various ways that the design can change the world and really absorb.
(I would love to come back to minus children over a period).
We all liked the imagination section, which included toys, ideological illusions and small global houses.

Is there a cafe in Young V&A?
Yes, there is a cafe in Young V&A in the main hall. Beware, the cafe does not have the wider choice of options, especially not for children picking up.
However, in the main hall you also have a place to eat your food if you want to take it with you.
There are many other food options in the outside of the museum.
Is there a gift shop?
Yes, as expected, there is also a gift shop. While it was previously located in the main courtyard, it has now been moved to the building in front of the building from the internal and external routes.
The strange thing is that for the museum focused on kids, there is no extensive selection of fun/small things for children (though many beautiful expensive things for adults!)
Is Pram Storage?

Young V&A also has a pramic storage. There were a lot of pamphlets!
Where is the young V & A?
Young V & A is Cambridge Heath Rd, Bethinal Green, London E2 9PA
When is the Young V&A open?
It lasts from 10.00 to 17.45 every day.
What did we think?

We liked it. We were initially sad to see that some of their favorite – swinging horse, maid’s fancy dress, magnetic iron heads that never worked – were over. However, it had many new things they liked.
Young V&A looks terrific, especially the main halls and mirrors stairs, and colorful details are focused on, from graft walls to neon signs.
It is always difficult for a museum that has toys behind the glass, meaning you cannot play with them to force it, but in other areas there is a lot of focus on communication.
It is difficult for everything to balance everything, but it seems that something is less for older children.
Both of me are probably at the upper end of the age to spend more time here, and when it is closed, they are starting to like V&A, in which we can spend hours.
But we are all looking forward to returning for a new exhibition.
